Glenerie Labradors was established in 1993, although we have had Labs for over 26years. We are located in Eastern New York, in the Mid-Hudson Valley. We became active in showing our Labradors with the acquisition of our now Champion Breezys Glenerie Merry-Maker, Shiloh. We are dedicated to preserving the wonderful nature and qualities of the Labrador Retriever.
We try to keep our kennel as a small hobby kennel, with only 6-8 adult dogs at a time and of course any puppies we are raising at the time. On average we have one to two litters a year.
We plan our breedings far in advance, giving us time for much consideration in selecting the perfect combination, in an effort to preserve, and improve this magnificent breed. As ethical breeders, our primary concern is to only breed animals that have the correct clearances, as such all breeding animals are cleared on hips and elbows through the OFA and eyes through an annual CERF exam.
Our breeding program is based on keeping or placing puppies which we think will preserve or improve our bloodlines. We place or keep the puppies we feel will improve any future breedings. The rest of the litter is placed into loving family homes. We screen all new puppy buyers before placing any puppy.
Puppies at Glenerie are born and raised in our home and are well socialized when they go to their new homes at 8 weeks of age. They will have received their first shots, have been wormed 3 times and will go to their new home with a health guarantee so you are assured of a happy, healthy addition to your family. The majority of our puppies are sold on a limited registration. Puppies are 100% AKC registered but cannot be bred from.
Please feel free to browse our website to see our dogs. They are a good representation of the style of Labrador we breed. We would be glad to answer any questions you may have regarding our dogs for use as stud, upcoming litters of puppies or questions about Labrador Retrievers in general.
We have committed years of hard work to produce a quality / sound puppy for you and we are willing to share that information with you to make your puppy buying experience a pleasant one.
